REGIONAL links to EBPs: The aim is to ensure that young people develop a knowledge and understanding of the world of work and its demands, qualifications, skills and attitudes required.
www.young-enterprise.org.uk YE's purpose is to enable young people to learn about
the world of work. They do this through the real experience of running their own company,
supported by volunteers from the business community.
East Riding of Yorkshire Learning
Partnership The Learning Partnership is part of a national network of strategic,
locally-based voluntary bodies tasked with widening participation, increasing attainment,
improving standards and meeting the skills challenge.
The Partnership brings together the
expertise, experience and resources of the Local Education Authority, the local Learning and
Skills Council, schools, Further and Higher Education institutions, adult education providers,
public and private training providers, information, advice and guidance services, employers,
voluntary and community organisations, Economic Development Agencies, and the business community.
The East Riding Learning Partnership aims are: -
- To promote and support a lifelong learning culture where everyone is given encouragement
and opportunity to fulfil their potential;
- To encourage and support individuals to continually develop the learning skills they need
to become and remain lifelong employable;
- To encourage and support businesses to develop the skills and knowledge of their
workforce, thus enhancing their regional, national and international competitiveness.
